Light Up the School 2017

2017 LIGHT UP THE SCHOOL
The Harrisburg-Troy Historical Society, Inc. will continue the tradition of lighting up the Harrisburg School this upcoming holiday season.  We hope you will consider this a great way to memorialize or honor loved ones and share the holiday spirit.  This is an extended community project as the school represents the history of one room school education.  Do you remember the excitement of a Christmas program, the songs, the poems and skits?  And, how about the appearance of Santa with a candy sack for the boys and girls?

Brad Anderson will chair the decorating.  Colored lights will be on the trees, the school, the rail fence and the new museum.  Added décor will be a huge Christmas card, wreaths and window candles.  Drive by the school during December and reminisce what a one room school meant to you and/or a loved one in by gone days.

On behalf of the Harrisburg –Troy Historical Society directors—thank you for your interest and participation.  Together, let’s
LIGHT UP THE SCHOOL.
